1- Draw a circle, then cut off the lower quarter as Garfield's face is not a circle ... it's an oval shape with broad base.2- Set the mid lines of the circle as follows.
3- Draw two oval shapes on both sides of the face.... as the eyes.
4- Now draw his sleepy eyes... and the nose in the middle.
5- Starting from the middle of the nose draw the mouth like that... Noet: it ends close to the face.
6- His ears.
7- Now draw the out line of the face.... ( that's why we remove the lower quarter of the circle at first ).
8- Now draw his cheeks and chin.
9- Add some shadows and effects...
10- Remove the pencil lines.

1- Start with a circle as a guide for the rest of your drawing. 2- The outline of the face is the most tricky part... the fore head is about half the size of the circle, and a part of the chin is extruded away. So it results in a bean shaped head.
Add the neck as you see there.
3- Draw the mid line if the face. They are curved following the shape of the face. And also moved to the right not in the middle because he is looking to the right.
4- After you draw your guides; Now draw his well known chin, neck and nose as follows.
5- His ear.
6- And his mouth... Starting from the nose.
7- His angry eyes starting from the mid line of the face.
8- Now draw the closed eye, the eye pupil, some wrinkles on the face and the back of his head.
9- Start to draw the hat.... but if you know popeye; he wears two different hats. That's one of them.

10- And the pipe.
11- His sailor scarf.

1- Lets start it step by step... First draw a circle. 2- Now draw the upper part of his head.... touches the circle from both sides.
3- Now draw his forehead, smaller and also touches the circle from both ends.
4- And now draw his cheek and chin.
5- Draw his nose as a small triangle just below the beginning of his cheek.
6- Draw that curve as the nose line.
7- Now draw his two little eyes, like that.
8- Add the eyebrows and the other cheek line below the eye.
9- A big smile starts from his nose.
10- And the ears.
11- remove the pencil marks and use your pen to draw nice clean lines.
12- Here is your Pooh with his red shirt.... Enjoy drawing.

1- Draw a circle and divide it into two halves.2- Draw another circle of the same size based on the mid line of the first one.
3- Draw the tail.
4- Now connect all what you draw like that...
5- Now draw the out line of Nemo... add some thickness at the sides of his face as his cheeks.
6- Now draw 2 innocent big eyes.
7- Add the white stripes on the body like that.
8- Draw his smile.
9- Draw his fins.... and don't forget his lucky fin.
10- Remove the pencil marks.
11- Add some shadows and stripes for the fins.
12- I colored it and added some shadows because Nemo is a 3D character.

1- Draw a circle and divide it into two halves.2- Add the nose just beside the circle and the eyes inside it.
3- Draw that curve starting from the eyebrows till the base of the circle.
4- Another curve as its smiley mouth.
5- draw the upper part of the head.... slightly away of the circle from the forehead.
6- Draw the ear... it ends with the base of the circle too.
7- The neck.
8- Draw the bean-shaped body.... note that it has the same length as the head.
9- Draw the hands, feet, tail and the spots on his back.

10- remove the pencil marks.. and use your ink pen to add some thikness to the lines.

9- the 2 oval shaped pupils.
10- The ears are extending down from the mouth... as his head is covering the rest of it.

2- Draw that wave ... which will be the upper border of Donald's beak.
3- complete the wave edges to the inside.
4- Draw the rest of the smiling mouth.

5- Draw the lower part of the mouth..... thicken it and draw the tongue.

6- Now you may draw two oval shapes as the eyes.

1- Draw an oval shape
2- draw other two ovals with a dot inside them .... they will be the eyes
3- draw the ears.... straight and emerges from the eyes
4- Draw the nose as a black oval in front of the eyes
5- the smiley mouth is as usual..... as a bracket starts from the nose and ends near the eye
6- extend the smile bye a big U then a small u

7- Odie's mouth is a large one u know.... draw 3 lines like that
8- now draw the body
9- from the second line of the mouth draw his lower lip like that
10- join the lower lip with the body
11- draw the tongue from the lower half of the mouth & don't forget the tail

12- now the trick..... Odie's feet are slightly larger than him.... so draw 2 guide lines one in front of his nose and the other behind his back
13- divide that distance in to two

14- now draw the feet

15- and the hind leg

16- then the fore hand
17- draw the toes
18- after drawing the right hand and foot now draw the other two like that

19- illustrate the lines u want with your ink pen
20- add some cartoony effects like water drops, vibrations and shadows on the ears and the legs
21- remove the pencil lines
22- don't forget the spot over his back....

Today we will learn How to draw a cartoon cat in easy steps.... now prepare you pencil and you pen and let's go

1- we will start that cat with a rectangle... and divide it .. as usual... into vertical and horizontal halves. then draw the eyes as two black oval shapes just under the mid line.

2-Draw the nose as an inverted triangle... as shown

3- Draw the "W" shaped mouth.... with the little smiley brackets ( )

4- Draw the " uUu" shaped chin ....

5- Lets draw the feathery face of that cat .... connect each angle of the nose to the chine.... with small "V" shaped lines..... like that.

6- Draw the upper border of the eyes... it's somehow away from the eyes ... but it's OK

7-join the upper border with the angle of the nose....like that.

8- now lets draw the ears..

9- now you have the final drawing.... try it ...and enjoy

Today we will learn how to draw a cartoon boy.... prepare your pencil, paper, eraser and ink pen

Ready?? Ok

1- First Draw a square ... that will be the outline of the face

2- next step as usual we will divide the square to a horizontal and vertical halves

3- Now we will draw the eye ... and the glasses (he is a cartoon boy with Glasses) around the mid line draw two equal circles and join them.

4- Draw the eyes as two tiny circles inside the glasses... and a leaf shape nose it's like 3 Us ( uUu ) connected together.

5- Draw the mouth and the lower lip.... then the chin as a "W" under the lower lip... remember stick to the border of the square. and draw the eyebrows over the glasses as well.

6- draw the ears and the cheeks

7-start to draw the hair..

How to Draw a Cartoon Lion

Hey that's our first lesson on how to draw cartoon.
we will start with How to draw a cartoon Lion. Prepare your HB pencil and your ink pen (thin one is preferable) and your sheet of paper of course. Let's start

1- Draw a square like that one

2- Draw the vertical and horizontal mid lines as follows then draw the triangular nose at the center of the face just below the line you drew

3- Draw two circles below the nose (will be the mouth) and two circles over the head... (will be the ears)

4- Draw the eyes as two small ovals over the nose..

5- Let's spread some hair over that face.... it's a Lion you remember ! :) ..... some over the face others at the cheeks and some for the chin... don't forget the little line over the chin (the lower lip)

6- Add more hair for it's a big lion... and some details for the ear

7- Use your ink pen to show the chosen lines and erase the pencil lines.... so you have your cartoon lion character ... Enjoy

History of caricature

Some of the earliest caricatures are found in the works of Leonardo da Vinci, who actively sought people with deformities to use as models.

The point was to offer an impression of the original which was more striking than a portrait. Gianlorenzo Bernini (1598-1680), one of the great early practitioners, was favored by the members of the papal court for his ability to depict the essence of a person in 'three or four strokes. In fact, the word "caricature" comes from the Italian caricare, "to load", thus the caricaturist's aim is to invest his image with as much meaning as possible.
Caricature, therefore, experienced its first successes in the closed aristocratic circles of France and Italy, where the such portraits could be passed about for mutual enjoyment.

The first book on caricature drawing to be published in England was Mary Darly's A Book of Caricaturas (c. 1762). The two greatest practitioners of the art of caricature in 18th-century Britain were Thomas Rowlandson(1756-1827) and James Gillray(1757-1815). Rowlandson was more of an artist and his work took its inspiration mostly from the public at large. Gillray was more concerned with the vicious visual satirisation of political life. They were, however, great friends and caroused together in the pubs of London.
